Description

Key aspects of this lecture:

  • Fundamental properties of safety-critical systems, such as different notions of safety like functional safety, safety of the intended functionality or cyber-security.
  • analysis of stochastic systems, e.g. with regard to parametric uncertainties, with regard to stability and constraint satisfaction by using methods from uncertainty quantification. Optimal Control Design of stochastic systems.
  • Safety-certification of dynamic systems with additive disturbances.
  • Fundamental principles of model-based fault diagnosis for dynamic systems.
  • Failure and reliability parameters as well as their stochastic characterization, Boolean system theory.

Recommended prerequisites: Lectures "Einführung in die Regelungstechnik" and "Konzepte der Regelungstechnik" resp. basic knowledge in state space techniques.
