Energy Efficient Drive Systems

In this project, an energetic and economic optimal design of drive technology will be developed for production. Both, pneumatic and electric drive systems are considered and compared.

Description

Climate protection, energy efficiency and responsible use of resources have been an objective of politics in the Federal Republic of Germany for a long time. Especially in automation technology, power consumption and the need for energy play a major role. The right choice of technology (effectivity) as well as proper operation (efficiency) determine how much energy is required to provide required energy in production processes.

In this project, an energetic and economic optimal design of drive technology will be developed for production. Both, pneumatic and electric drive systems are considered and compared.
